Quick answer
What is Excel V laser?
Excel V (Cutera) is a vascular laser that combines a 532 nm green wavelength and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength. The light is absorbed by haemoglobin in small blood vessels, heating and closing them so the body clears them away, which reduces visible redness and capillaries.
In Seoul it is commonly used for diffuse redness, rosacea, spider veins on the nose and cheeks, and post-acne red marks. For widespread mild redness it is often paired with IPL photofacial.

FAQ
Excel V questions
Does Excel V hurt?
Most people describe a quick rubber-band snap with warmth. The cooled tip keeps it tolerable, and numbing is rarely needed.
Excel V or IPL — which is better for redness?
Excel V targets individual vessels more precisely, while IPL treats broad, mild redness and pigment at once. The doctor may combine them depending on your skin.
Can I treat rosacea while visiting Seoul?
Yes. You can start a session during your trip; for lasting improvement a course of 2–4 sessions about 4 weeks apart works best.
Will the capillaries come back?
Treated vessels do not usually return, but new ones can form with sun, heat, alcohol and rosacea flares, so maintenance may help.
Do foreigners pay more?
No. International patients pay the same price as local patients at Umi Clinic.
